TOWARDS BECOMING TURKEY’S GLOBAL BRAND, ETI IS MOVING INTO A NEW GLOBAL ORGANIZATION

Eti, one of the leaders of Turkish food industry and one of the biggest
industrial enterprises of Turkey, providing consumers with dozens of brands and hundreds of
products, takes important steps towards becoming the global brand of Turkey.
After taking milestone steps in 2017 such as establishment of Craiova production plant as its
first factory outside of Turkey and Eti International geographic unit to build a strong presence
in its strategic markets and leveraging its continued strong export performance since
decades, Eti brought together its products with millions of consumers and managed a
significant international growth. Being on the verge of another leap in its globalization, Eti is
moving forward with a new global organization. Stephane Batoux, who has been leading Eti
International unit based in Europe since 2017, has been appointed as the Global CEO of Eti
as of March1st 2023. Besides, to stay strong in Turkey, the largest single market for Eti,
Ercan Öz who has been leading Turkey sales organization since September 2021, has been
appointed as the CEO for Eti Türkiye geographic unit as of March 1st, 2023. In his new
position, he will be reporting to Eti Global CEO, Stephane Batoux. Ercan Öz will hold Eti
Gıda General Manager position as well.
Hakan Polatoğlu, who has been working as the CEO of Eti Gıda since 2011 and had a
significant role in all of Eti’s accomplishments in its near history, will continue to take part in
Eti’s future as a member of Eti Gıda Board.
With its new global organization put in place and its new leadership team, Eti aims to further
consolidate its leadership in Turkey, accelerate its international growth leveraging its
expertise in Turkey and eventually emerge as a strong global brand of Turkey.
About Stephane Batoux:
Stephane Batoux graduated from the University of Kent's Finance and Business
Administration Department in 1987. Stephane Batoux completed his master's degree in
economics at the University of Bordeaux and his MBA in Purchasing and Finance at the
Institut du Management de l'Achat Industriel.
He started his professional career in 1989 as Purchasing and Innovation Manager at Plasto
in Dijon/France. Later he worked as European Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Director,
and Supply Chain Director at ReckittBenckiser's for France and Italy respectively in Paris and
Milan offices.
Afterwards, he started working at Danone in 2000. He worked as the Global Purchasing
Director for the Dairy division in the Paris office, became the Russia Operations Director in
the Moscow office. In 2005, he was nominated as the General Manager of Ukraine in the
Kiev office and finally took the position of the General Manager for Romania, Moldova and
the Adriatic in the Bucharest office.
He worked as Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company General Manager for Romania and
Moldova between 2012 and 2014, and he worked as the General Manager of Albalact in
Bucharest until 2017.
Speaking five languages (French, English, Russian, Italian and Romanian) and with more
than 30 years of international experience, he started working as ETİ International CEO in
2017. Stephane Batoux, who led the activities of Eti in Romania, Poland and Balkans for six
years, has been appointed as the Global CEO of Eti, as of March 1st, 2023.
Stephane Batoux has three daughters.
About Ercan Öz:
Graduated from the Management Department of Anadolu University in 1992, Ercan Öz
started his professional career in FMCG industry at Pepsi Bottling Group in 1997. He worked
as Sales Supervisor at Coca-Cola between 1999 and 2001.
Between 2001-2010, he took Sales Manager positions in many regions in FMCG companies
such as Coca Cola and Frito Lay. Öz held different high-level management positions in
different countries in Danone between 2010 and 2017 as Sales Director and County
Manager. In addition, he became Executive Committee Member of several companies under
Danone.
Ercan Öz became a managing partner of Getir in 2017 and between 2017-2021, he worked
as General Manager in Düzey Pazarlama under Koç Holding.
Joining Eti Companies Group in 2021, Ercan Öz became Sales Group President and
Executive Board Member. He has been appointed as the CEO of Eti Turkey as of March 1st 2023.
